In August 2020, with the Nigerian-based organization Change 360 Network, African Gist organised an online event on CV writing and the importance of digital skills for young Nigerian professionals.
The online event consisted of presentations, workshops, and Q&A sessions. It gathered over 70 youths interested in better understanding todays’ needs of digital companies.
The first training session was presented by Mr. Babajide Tella, HR Business Partner at Facebook and formally HR Business Partner at Bank Of America UK. The workshop aimed at helping attendees design an attractive CV and find their next professional opportunity.
The second training session was presented by Leye Makanjuola, CEO at IntenseNg, a digital marketing company based in Lagos, Nigeria. He talked about the importance of digital skills in today’s world and the skills digital companies are looking for.
Through the 2 hour session, attendees could learn and address direct questions to trainers about employability issues and how to be more attractive to recruiters and grow digital skills.
