On October 27th, the African Diaspora Youth Forum Europe (ADYFE) and the African Diaspora Platform (ADEPT) hosted the second edition of Diaspora Innovation Days in Africa (DIDA).
DIDA highlights the critical role of the African diaspora by creating a platform where aspiring and established entrepreneurs across sectors can connect, build partnerships, and foster dialogue. The event promotes joint ventures, collaboration, and innovation that strengthen ties between Africa and its diaspora.
This year’s edition focused on connecting hubs, SMEs, and key players in Africa’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. The goal was to create sustainable, collaborative systems and synergies that support the continent’s social and economic development.
Our founder, Cynthia, joined the panel on “The Contribution of Technology in the Development of the Continent.” She shared how African Gist supports African creatives in building, sustaining, and scaling their ventures through digital skills and business learning.

The African Diaspora Youth Forum in Europe (ADYFE) is a platform of nearly 110 youth organizations of the African Diaspora present in 31 countries of the Council of Europe. One of ADYFE’s main purpose is Peace and Development in all its forms. This aims to operate through the Youth of the African Diaspora according to 3 pillars of action: Entrepreneurship, Employability and Civic Engagement.
ADYFE has been since 2014, one of the main interlocutors consulted on policies and high-level exchanges relating to the youth as a whole, and particularly, youth from the African Diaspora to the European Union and the African Union and their various institutions as well as many UN agencies.
